 Materials: qualities and properties - Below appears my exploration of a theme with pencils of different hardness to learn their possibilities,. I labeled  and tracked their properties within the  work so as to compare the effects. Various ways they can be used with a focus on diverse learners pencils are a safe start but it is important that students understand the difference in textures . Limiting materials but giving multiple choices in projects allow to build background knowledge (Hafeli, 2015) Visual effects and the meaning that they produce  Pencils are used to learn writing and thus they have a strong narrative connection. Good projects with pencils will connect all that students can already do with pencils. Graphite blocks allow for surface rubbing and large floor tracings with connect the kids to their bodies.
