Exploring Dry Materials: graphite, pencil, charcoal, conte pencil
Materials: qualities and properties- Below appears my exploration of a theme with pencils of different hardness to learn their possibilities,. I labeled and tracked their properties within the work so as to compare the effects.

Pencils are used to learn writing and thus they have a strong narrative connection. Good projects with pencils will connect all that students can already do with pencils. Graphite blocks allow for surface rubbing and large floor tracings with connect the kids to their bodies. Charcoal is soft and fast, it encourages large shapes, improvisation and shading. F
